Nepal in SAARC Startup Awards !!

SAARC Startup Awards is the largest no-pitch, a no-conference competition designed for startups. It covers an impressive market of SAARC countries.

The SAARC startup awards focus on finding the innovation game-changers. It is attended by top-notch entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, and ecosystem builders.

And for this year, some companies from Nepal have also secured nominations.

1.Team Venture

TEAM Ventures is a private equity and investment holding firm based in Kathmandu. They are at the forefront of creating a professional and knowledge-oriented investor group. 

The TEAM aims to invest in private and public companies or institutions to promote entrepreneurship in Nepal. They consist of investors who can invest and promote in Nepal as well as in foreign. 

TEAM venturer is also nominated in the SAARC startup awards for Investor of the year.

2.Gyan Hub

Gyanhub is the platform that provides coworking services in Pokhara, Nepal. Another specialty of this is that they also provide mentorship. 

GyanHub started up in Pokhara since they are popular in tourism with a lot of local and international tourists. They believe that people who want to do work on their long vacation should be able to do so. They also provide their services to the locals, not only the tourists. 

Gyanhub is also nominated for the SAARC startup awards for Best Coworking Space. This is a way to go for the team.


Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum is a membership-based nonprofit organization established with a vision of empowering positive business thinking. Their mission is to create outstanding entrepreneurs through discussion, idea exchange, and fellowships, and advocacy among the Nepali youth.

NYEF brings together young entrepreneurs within the country. It promotes an entrepreneurial mindset and a shared vision through effective and much-needed networking of young entrepreneurs. 

After a successful start in Kathmandu, it now has chapters in Biratnagar, Pokhara, Chitwan, Dhangadi, Butwal, and Sunsari. They have more chapters in the pipeline.

NYEF is also nominated in the SAARC startup awards for the ‘Best Accelerator or Incubator’ category.

4.True north associates

True North Associates is a company created to contribute to private sector growth in general and in particular. They aim to develop the Private Equity and Venture Capital space in Nepal. They contribute to entrepreneurial and economic development in Nepal.

True North Associates are helping businesses to become more structured, marketable, profitable, & sustainable. 

And now they have been nominated for the ‘Investor of the year’ in the SAARC startup awards.

5.Online Kaam

OnlineKaam is a digital employment platform that connects talents and companies. They aim to provide suitable job opportunities for each talent. And they aim it amid and post-pandemic with work-from-home opportunities. 

With the belief that employing talent will lead to development, they decided to develop a platform where they could bridge the gap between talent and employment. 

And now OnlineKaam has secured the nomination for the SAARC startup awards. They have been nominated in 4 different categories.

They secured nominations in Startup of the Year, Founder of the Year, Best Virtual Team Work Solution, and Best New Comer of the Year.
